My birthday came and went, woohoo. Went to Arizona for Spring Break. Came back, painted my room, and was thus forced to sleep on the living room couch for almost two weeks, right after sleeping on hotel beds in Arizona for a week. Sleeping in my own bed was the best thing to happen to me in three weeks. Put my room back together, got a turntable, hooked it up to a nice receiver/amp and got some nice speakers for my room. My room, finally, is almost pretty.
I've been strangely dizzy lately. Sometimes for just a half hour, sometimes for a whole morning. It's like even when I sit down I'll feel dizzy. Probably not a good thing, but eh, as long as I don't pass out and hurt myself I'm good. Mom thinks I'm hypoglycemic, which would genetically make sense, as my dad is diabetic and my mom was hypoglycemic around this age. Guess I'll have to check my blood sugar one of these days. Though I'm terrified of sticking one of those needle doo-dads in my arm.
I really like Iron & Wine lately. It's oddly folky and quiet, but it's nice to listen to. The Sea and the Rhythm is a really pretty one, go listen to it. Would be nice to fall asleep to. I really want something of theirs on vinyl. You'd be my best friendddd
I went to a record store on Saturday, con mi padre. It was so trippy. The guy in there was all like stoned or whatnot, and this middle aged lady was in there complaining abut shoulder pain. He's all "I can do that procedure on you, right here, right now. I'm a doctor *COUGH* " She followed him to this random COT in the back of the store, at which she laid down and he started working on her back. It was awkward to say the least. And that typical overwhelming sense of incense that burns so often in there that it's a permanent musty smell, I'm thinking. Anyways, I got a Kansas LP, and a Kinks LP. They win. Who doesn't agree that things sound better on vinyl than mp3? You don't even know. In mp3 they completely compress the soundwaves and digitize them, whilst on vinyl it's an actual recording of the sound. Anyways....really enjoying my turntable
Oh yeah, camera broken for sure. Sending it in either today or tomorrow or something. Maybe they'll be like "this product is so defective we'll just give you our newest best model to make it easier" Wouldn't that be cool??? Canon did that for my grandpa, lucky duck. But since mine is a pretty recent model, I'm sure I won't have that problem.
I got to shadow this artist couple on Friday. They were SO COOL. They had the most amazing house, two huge studios. Really interesting painting style too, makes me want to experiment for sure. I helped them with a kid's class they had that day, which was fun. Other than that, we mostly just chilled for the day. I did some print making stuff, painted a picture, and helped one of them with a bowl he was making from clay to be fired. Creative people, them.

I think that it would be easier if thinking burned a bunch of calories.
Then stupid people would be fat
